Creative Reflections

I discovered my ability to draw during my teenage years while babysitting for a talented artist. Looking at her drawings captured my curiosity. Finding paper and pencil led me to draw a picture of a little girl. I was surprised with the results. It looked just like the little girl I was observing. This was the beginning of my passion to create art. I work with watercolor, pencil and oils as primary mediums. When I look at subject matter I want to paint, I automatically envision what medium will best capture the beauty and essence of what I will be painting or drawing. My dream is to become a full time artist. My love and passion to create beautiful work is strong and grows intense everyday. It is my belief that this world is in need of beautiful images for reflection and inspiration.

The mediums I primarily use are pencil, colored pencil, watercolor and oil paints.  In describing my mediums, I choose words that capture their essence and potential, such as: amazing, powerful, magical, surprising, soft, beautiful, transparent, versatile, wonderful and incredible.

"I am in awe of the wondrous and awesome things that God has created! Everywhere I look I see a painting. I look upon His creation, reflect upon it and then recreate it in a painting or drawing. My hope is that my art will make you see all things in a different light. It is through light which we can begin to appreciate what is and the potential to what is yet to be."
